The Strokes
I haven't heard First Impressions of Earth aside from "Juicebox" (ehh) and this track, which I love. "You Only Live Once" is the Strokes at their best, impossibly tight and impassioned (the real kicker). I like Casablancas' attempts to vary his delivery as well, it works here.

Hi Brian!
I can't believe I've not been to any gigs this year...hopefully that will change soon...but if you're interested in whats happening in the Edinburgh area, I've branched out and started another blog to coinside with my music photography blog. It will mostly be gigs from my point of you, rather than a review, and the odd preview of local bands/artists with mp3s.
February looks promising for gigs...Regina Spektor, Jose Gonzales, CYHSY, Laura Veirs, Giant Drag.
