Carissa's Wierd
With all the attention Band of Horses is getting, I thought you might be interested in Carissa's Wierd, Mat Brooke and Ben Bridwell's old band. It's dour, bedroom stuff; yet there's an odd stateliness to the intimacy of the whispers and (heart)strings. The solemn, processional pacing lends the august atmosphere to these essentially emo vignettes ("September Come Take This Heart Away" - need I say more?), the results less precious than, well, weird.From Songs About Leaving:

nice! i love c.w. and didn't know about band of horses. props.
CW has been an all time favorite of mine since 1999. I was heartbroke when they broke up and made the flight to see their last show together in Seattle. It is great to see them newly discovered and appreciated. It almost makes them seem alive still.
Each member is still making music, in certain respects.
Check out S from Jen Ghetto, Sarah Calhoun was playing drums for Patrick Park, and Sarah Standard was making music with someone too. Not sure about Jeff Hellis.
Anyways, thanks.

Does anyone have any tabs from this band or know where to get them? I posted 6 or 7 on ultimate-guitar.com. I have seen some websites that have a couple songs tabbed out but I would like to get them all on ultimate-guitar.
Also, does anyone have any of their music that wasn't released on cds? I have 4 shows that someone randomly recorded.
